Photographs of the former RAF Bridgnorth station in 2004.

Apart from the handfull of buildings shown below, very little physical evidence remains today of RAF Bridgnorth. A few remaining old buildings and many modern ones, form a large industrial estate. The remaining part of the station has been transformed into a Country Park. Many thousands of trees have replaced the huts and parade grounds. The following photographs were taken in 2004 and 2005 unless otherwise noted.

The small commemorative garden in the Country park.
Andy Griffin, Flt Lt RAFVR(T) OC 63 (Bridgnorth) Sqn ATC advised me "that on Battle of Britain Sunday 2006, the cadets and staff of 63 Bridgnorth Squadron ATC laid a wreath at the memorial in the Stanmore Country Park.
This will now be an annual event."
The plaque reads "This memorial garden marks the site of the former Royal Air Force station Bridgnorth and commemorates those members of the R.A.F, W.A.A.F, Commonwealth and Allied Forces who served here between 1939-1963.

Arrangements are in place to ensure the continued maintenance of the RAF Bridgnorth memorial by RAF Cosford personnel.   Please see here
