Picture of 252 Flt in Nov

I believe AC2 Robertson donated this photograph to the collection of memorabilia
held at the Bridgnorth Visitor Information Centre. No details of which year or Flight were known.

Roger Langley 4268372 has since identified himself on the photograph, being Flt 252 in Nov 1961. Roger says; "This photograph is of my flight - I believe it was 252 - in November 1961. I am fifth from the left on the back row. I think the chap second from the right, top row, is David Westgarth who like me went through RAF Melksham and on to RAF Conningsby where we both worked on 35 Squadron, Vulcan bombers, as Instrument Bashers. Following that I went to RAF Khormaksar (105 Squadron - Argosys) and I believe he went to the Far East following which I lost track of him. Sadly I do not recall AC2 Robertson. There was a character called 'General' an older chap who caused the NCO's (and us) major problems but was also a great laugh. The Corporal on the right of the two is Cpl Brown.
The winter was 'very crisp and even' to the extent that when we returned from Christmas leave the whole Camp was frozen solid - we spent the next couple of weeks de-icing the place. I should be interested in mail contact with AC2 Robertson and any other contemporaries."
