Picture of Shippey's hut in early 1952

Thanks to Sam Shippey 4088648 for this photograph of his hut in early 1952.

Sam says "......... so I decided to send you a picture of the guys that shared my hut under Cpl McWhinney. Sorry I cannot put the rest of the names to the photograph - too long ago. During my time there, in the first two months of 1952, King George 6th died and we attended a parade in the town to commemorate his life.
The chap on the back row, far left of the picture is Doug Shepherd. He was chosen from our hut to help to line the funeral route in London. I am in the middle row on the left hand side of the picture sitting next to the Cpl. From Bridgnorth I was posted to Compton Bassett and trained for six weeks as a wireless operator.

We have tried to decipher some of the signatures so that the site Search Engine can read them.
