Vernon says "I have unfortunately forgotten the Hut Number but it was D Platoon with a Cpl Nimmock who was our drill Cpl."

I am 3rd from left in the second row down. Spud Dolan [semi-pro soccer player] is on the back row 3rd from left. Dennis [a Butcher from Maryport] is 2nd row up, 3rd left from Sgt Rankin. The two, too large brothers are between Dennis and Sgt Rankin. I recognise but don't remember the name of the airman 2nd row down, 2nd from right. We were together at Weeton for basic trade training. I believe he was from St Helens and supported Everton FC.
Ron Phillips has also since identified himself on the photograph. He says on the Forum message board "I found myself on the photograph you sent in to the RAF Bridgnorth site. Top row, extreme left on the group as shown --- ( there may be one or two chaps cut off down the left hand side of the photo) My service number was W4254812 so I was only seven away from Peter Belk and 24 from you. I also recognise, by sight, the lad from St Helens, I don't know his name and I'm not sure if I know him from Bridgnorth or RAF Weeton!"
