Picture of Hut 216 in 1962

This photograph of Hut 216 in (I assume 1962) was found by a volunteer in a 'Help the Aged' charity shop. Whilst sorting through some donated items, she came across an album of 1960's photographs. The album seems to cover the National Service years of a unknown conscript who was trained at Bridgnorth. She has kindly sent this web site this copy of the Bridgnorth photograph. The rest of the album suggests that the owner had been in Thailand through 1963, 1964 and 1965. Pictures include Penang, Sunan, Haadyai and his mates Bill, Taff and Tony. There are some interesting photos of 3" mortar, day and night firing on the Assertan range and a photo of a group outside the fire station at Scampton.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what could be done with the album, I'll gladly pass them on. I haven't seen and don't have the album. Dated 19 October 2006.
